Elentra Engage 2024 is excited to announce that Dr. Tao Le, an internationally recognized medical educator, physician executive, and seasoned entrepreneur, will be one of our speakers at the conference in Ottawa, Canada, from September 18-20, 2024. Dr. Le earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, and furthered his training in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Le completed an allergy and immunology fellowship and a master’s in health sciences at Johns Hopkins University, solidifying his expertise in medical education, health informatics, and medical practice management.
With extensive experience in the medical education field, Dr. Le has authored or edited over 40 textbooks that have been utilized by nearly 2 million physicians and medical students worldwide. Currently, Dr. Le is the founder and CEO of ScholarRx, a prominent medical e-learning company transforming the way medical educators teach and students learn.
Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Dr. Le continues to actively teach as a part-time Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Louisville. Dr. Le has received board certifications in Allergy & Immunology and Internal Medicine and served as a distinguished leader of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, as well as the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. His multifaceted contributions and commitment to advancing medical education and practice make him a respected figure in the field. We’re thrilled to introduce Nikki Sanchez as one of the keynote speakers at Elentra Engage 2024. Nikki brings a wealth of knowledge in Indigenous media and as an environmental educator, promises to offer in-depth insights at the conference.
Nikki’s rich historical background including her Pipil/Maya and Irish/Scottish heritage, has deeply influenced her commitment to Indigenous storytelling. Her master’s degree in Indigenous Governance and ongoing Ph.D. studies in emerging visual media technology underscore her dedication to Indigenous ontology.
Beyond academia, Nikki holds significant prominence. She was pivotal in designing and directing the groundbreaking Indigenous Storyteller edition with Telus STORYHIVE, a project that provided funding and invaluable mentorship to over 30 emerging Indigenous filmmakers. Her impactful contributions, including the bestselling anthology “Spirits of the Coast” and the acclaimed VICELAND documentary series “RISE,” have garnered international recognition. “RISE” focused on global Indigenous resurgence and debuted at Sundance in February 2017, earning a “Best Documentary” award at the Canadian Screen Awards.
Nikki is a TEDx speaker and the driving force behind “Decolonization is for Everyone,” a platform where she promotes decolonial dialogues and inclusivity workshops. Her tireless advocacy has earned her widespread acclaim and respect within the Indigenous community and beyond.

Dr. Geist has received numerous awards, including the Canadian Journalists for Freedom of Expression Vox Libera Award in 2018, the Kroeger Award for Policy Leadership, and the Public Knowledge IP3 Award in 2010. Dr. Geist serves on various boards, including the Internet Archive Canada and the EFF Advisory Board.

Elentra Engage Conference 2024 – Call for Proposals is Open Until May 30, 2024!
The Elentra Engage Conference 2024 is set to take place in the vibrant city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, on September 18-20, 2024, providing a unique platform for mutual learning, knowledge acquisition, and collective strides in innovating the future of Elentra.
We are thrilled to announce that the Elentra Engage 2024 Call for Proposals has officially opened! We invite and encourage members of our community to share their knowledge through various media, including micro-demonstrations, presentations, workshops, plenary sessions, and networking events. Whether you are a seasoned presenter or a first-timer, the Engage Conference is an inclusive space for all, and the Elentra Engage Planning Committee is ready to assist.
The Call for Proposals is open until May 30, 2024. The dedicated Elentra Engage Planning Committee will review all proposals and confirm session dates/times by the end of May.
