Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME)
Our CBME assessment system allows programs to upload program specific EPAs and map those to relevant milestones and specific assessment criteria. This complex data architecture facilitates the dynamic generation of EPA specific assessment tools in real-time when a resident or faculty member triggers an assessment in the clinical environment.
The team at Elentra has played a pivotal role in the success of the Queen’s CBME project in Postgraduate Medical Education and helping launch all 29 specialty programs into CBME curriculums in July 2017.
Assessment and Evaluation
Our assessment and evaluation module includes a suite of robust and flexible tools designed to support the unique needs of health sciences education. Assess learner performance in clinical and traditional learning environments and provide multiple user groups with the ability to evaluate faculty, courses, programs, and other learning activities within the context of your institution.
Our native integration with other Elentra modules helps to save time and resources by using the integrated clinical placement and learning event schedules to automate the delivery of assessment and evaluation tasks.
One of the strongest, strongest features of the Elentra product is it’s team. I believe that the ability to work with individuals who are forward thinking, who are accepting of new ideas, and willing to integrate those ideas to further not only their product but the functionality of our own institution is one of the main reasons our group decided that Elentra was a great fit.
Being part of the Elentra consortium has been an invaluable experience. The consortium provides the opportunity to collaborate with medical school colleagues across the United States, Canada, and the world. We share our best practices for using Elentra during regular meetings, allowing all of us to re-imagine how we can better deliver content to our students.
The Elentra core team has always been available and very helpful to our developers, business analysts and user community. Their series of learning sessions and their user documentation have also helped us with the transition and implementation of the new system. The annual Elentra Engage Conference re-energizes us and remind us that we are not alone on this journey and are working together to provide faculty, staff, and students the tools they need to succeed in academic medicine.
Elentra allowed our medical school to create a true learning management system. This is no small feat given the complexity of a medical school curriculum and the number of both teachers and teacher-student interactions that take place on any given day. The consortium concept that is integral to Elentra allows all schools to learn from each other…a true community of practice! Saved us.
