Senior Front-End Software Engineer

Summary

As a Front-End Software Engineer you will be responsible for turning our user interface and experience designs into reality and effectively leverage the APIs that drive them. Beyond the code, a front-end software engineer will collaborate closely with others in a skilled pod of professionals including a product owner, senior software engineers, mobile engineers and UI/UX designers that can deliver incremental value to our clients. Your ideas and perspectives are essential to making sure we are building the right things in the right way.

Responsibilities

Work alongside other development teams to develop web interfaces using Vue.js
Develop and maintain reusable code and libraries
Implement new design following industry best practices and with high-quality standards, producing testable results against product requirements
Drive and take responsibility for the quality of development and delivery
Ensure current best practises and standards are being adhered to throughout all code being written

Requirements

8+ years of experience in web frontend development
5+ years of experience in the Vue.js framework
3+ years of experience with TypeScript
Practical experience in JavaScript frameworks, HTML5, CSS3 and SASS
Experience designing and building testing in Mocha
Experience working with and managing 3 rd party libraries (Yarn, npm)
Experience working with REST APIs
Experience identifying and resolving cross-browser compatibility issues
Experience with Agile principles and scrum methodologies
Familiarity with the LAMP stack and MVC pattern
Good understanding of CI/CD tools and procedures, including DevOps pipelines
Experience with Cloud environments like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS
Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with teams throughout the organization
Post-Secondary degree or equivalent experience in Computing Science or Information Systems Technology
