Product Owner
Summary
As a Product Owner, you are responsible for delivering world-class interfaces and user experiences to the users of the Elentra software platform. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will work closely with the engineering and UX/UI teams to deliver new features that enhance the customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Research & Design phase of new products to be developed by working closely with Product Management, UX/UI, and relevant stakeholders
- Manage and develop product backlog, as well as user stories backlog for implementation
- Conduct backlog refinement meetings with engineering
- Collaborate with the scrum master to optimize agile workflows
- Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prepared tasks to work on in the backlog
- Monitor the progress of product development, as well as plan for product release
- Support internal teams as the central source of knowledge for products you’re developing
- Provide reports and product demonstrations to update management and stakeholders on product development operations
- Some User Acceptance testing may be required for features your team is building
- Research, explore, and learn new industry tools, best practices, new technologies, techniques, and methodologies.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in a product owner role preferably in the SaaS B2B industry
- Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset
- Self-starter with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities without being provided explicit direction
- Excellent written and oral communication, including formal presentations to stakeholders
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong client relationships
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies is a plus
- Knowledge of Higher Education Technology is a plus but not a requirement
