About this Webinar:
The Medical Student Performance Evaluation or Record (MSPE / MSPR), historically known as the Dean’s Letter, is an important part of the high stakes residency application process for both learners and institutions. Yet, they are often built from fragmented assessments with inconsistent language and limited visibility into how conclusions were drawn.
In this session, we’ll explore how strong assessment systems lay the foundation for MSPE / MSPR narratives that are consistent and defensible. We’ll introduce a practical framework grounded in four key pillars (evidence, bias controls, auditability, and longitudinal insight) and show how institutions can move from disconnected comments to structured, evidence based narrative summaries.
Participants will leave with a clear understanding of how to strengthen assessment processes, ensure balanced narratives, and support summaries with transparent, well-documented evidence.
